An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Therapeutic Practitioner
In this new role you will offer therapeutic support our Fostering service. Your primary task will be to support our foster carers and team around the child with oversight from the Clinical Psychologist, and the Service/Team Manager.
This will include working with foster carers and colleagues from a therapeutically informed base to support their understanding of the impact of trauma and adversity. You will work with the team to agree and implement strategies to support children and young people to reach their full potential.
As a Fostering Therapeutic Practitioner, you will work alongside the team clinician and the management team in embedding Attachment and Trauma Informed Care (ATIC) approaches.
We welcome applications from both full and part time colleagues to apply for this role if full time your role will be split between current duties and the Therapeutic Practitioner role.
Salary: £40,622 to £43,520 full time equivalent.

Role Requirements:
• Essential: Experience of providing intervention to families and/or young people in a therapeutic and trauma-informed environment
• Desireable: Social Work Degree; CQSW; Dip SW or equivalent including Social Work registration with Social Work England
• Desirable: Working towards or have completed a formally recognised Therapeutic
and Trauma-informed training/qualification.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Offer short term structured interventions to foster carers around therapeutic fostering practices under the supervision of the Assessment & Therapy Clinician as need arises.
• Chair internal meetings relating to placement stability and significant events following a meeting template (amber and red flag meeting)
• Attend external multidisciplinary meetings alongside foster carers and supervising social workers e.g. CLA reviews, meetings with schools, stability meetings
• Co-ordinate and deliver therapeutic support groups for foster carers.
• Co-facilitate foster carer training with the Assessment & Therapy clinician.
• Facilitate psycho-education sessions for foster carers (1:1 or small groups)
• Provide reports on interventions carried out with foster carers.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team of Residential Care Workers who are dedicated to helping to turn the lives of children round. We have a number of small homes in and around Salisbury that provide care to both boys and girls aged 6 – 12 on admission. The homes are easily commutable from towns such as Fordingbridge, Salisbury, Wilton, Amesbury, Romsey, and Andover.
These children need your help to learn how to trust again after they have been let down by adults in their life. If you can commit to some regular time each week, we can offer you a varied and interesting time, whilst also following a planned structure, so you and the children know what to expect.
You will an integral part of the support for our children in learning healthy routines, provide them with learning opportunities like developing life skills, listening to them read or help with. You will support the team in creating a home where these children can thrive, showing them their value by providing them with nurturing experiences, maintaining the environment, and providing home cooked food. You can support the children with a sense of achievement by working with the team to ensure records of their journey are kept up to date.

Therefore, we are looking for committed and dedicated people that want to grow a career out of this rewarding role or just provide regular and ongoing support to children and not give up at the first hurdle. You’ll be a natural at building a rapport with children and someone who is full of empathy, so you can understand and relate to the young people you work with.
When it comes to our residential staff, we don’t settle for second best. Previous experience in a care setting would be advantageous, and QCF Level 3/4 in Children and Young people is desirable but not essential. The right attitude, dedication, personal qualities, and levels of resilience are just as important (we will support you to complete the relevant qualifications). Our Team at Beck Lodge
Our team will be a fully integrated team where you will be working alongside our Education and Clinical teams; we’re looking for experienced people to join our team.
Beck Lodge is situated in a quiet residential area and looks like any other detached, well-maintained home. A large, lawned garden and a spacious communal area allow the children (and us adults!) to play, have fun, and socialise all year round.
The house also enjoys good transport links, with plenty of opportunities for leisure pursuits in the local area, such as walking, climbing, farm visits and trips to the cinema or shops. The role is hugely rewarding but often challenging, so we make sure we’re always there for each other when times get hard.
Hours
On average, 39 hours a week. You will be required to work 24-hour shift patterns and do, on average, two sleep-ins per week, for which you receive an additional £50 payment per sleep-in.

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Social Worker to join our service in the Midlands and South West, to help develop our Fostering Service in the region in recruiting and assessing new Foster Carers and to support their professional development in their role.
The post holder will require creativity, flexibility, and the ability to travel within the service area to plan and deliver recruitment events to expand our Foster Carer capacity to provide high-quality foster placements for children.
You will work with and be supervised by the Operations Manager for Service Development and the local Fostering Service Manager who will also support you to meet the aspirations we have to grow our service footprint across the region.
You will have experience of working within a Fostering environment either with an IFA or in the Local Authority and a proven track record of completing Initial Home Visits for prospective applicants, and Form F Assessments within agreed timescales and presenting these at panel.
There are no case-holding responsibilities in this role.
You will need to be able to evidence you have a flexible, creative, and dynamic approach to researching and facilitating a range of recruitment opportunities.

Our full-time hours are 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:30 am -16:30pm

We are recruiting for our residential children’s home in Orpington, Kent. We are a social enterprise that provides caring, bespoke residential homes for young people aged 7-18 who have had a difficult start to life. We are recruiting a Play/Art Therapist for our Five Rivers Residential service in Orpington, Kent.
Your role will involve delivery of play therapy techniques to children, predominantly primary school age, who are struggling with their mental health and emotional wellbeing. We are looking for applicants who have a proven track record of delivering play therapy with vulnerable children and who can provide support and advice to managers and support workers to help integrate attachment and trauma-informed play approaches into their practice. The play therapist will report to the residential clinician or the Senior Principal Psychologist.

Independent Form F Assessors - Bromsgrove
Five Rivers Child Care is a leading Social Enterprise that turns children’s lives around. Our Fostering service is committed to providing caring families to children who need them the most.
Due to expansion, we seek to appoint Independent Form F Assessors to support our Fostering teams across the UK.
We are particularly interested in those who can cover the Staffordshire, Birmingham, Worcester and Rugby area.
You will support potential foster carers through the form f process and panel process, undertake competence-based Form F Assessments, work closely with other members of the Five Rivers Child Care Family Placement Service, return the completed Form F Assessment report and all supporting documentation to the company, complete the Form F Assessment within a timescale of between 12 -14 weeks and be submitted to Five Rivers Child Care for quality assurance process.
Complete all amendments/follow ups requests once the Form F Assessment has been vetted by Five Rivers Child Care and before presentation to one of Five Rivers Child Care Fostering service panels and present the family to the fostering service panel once all documentation has been signed off.
You will be paid up to £2,500 per assessment.
Essential Criteria:
• Recognised professional social work qualification. (DipSW or equivalent)
• Must have HCPC registration
• Knowledge of childcare legislation and other relevant legislation/initiatives about foster care.
• Experience working within a fostering service
• Experience in undertaking competence-based Form F Assessments
• Willingness to work on a flexible basis, e.g. evenings and weekends.
• Ability to produce high-quality written assessment reports.

Our Team at Beck Lodge
Our team will be a fully integrated team where you will be working alongside our Education and Clinical teams; we’re looking for experienced people to join our team.
Beck Lodge is situated in a quiet residential area and looks like any other detached, well-maintained home. A large, lawned garden and a spacious communal area allow the children (and us adults!) to play, have fun, and socialise all year round.
The house also enjoys good transport links, with plenty of opportunities for leisure pursuits in the local area, such as walking, climbing, farm visits and trips to the cinema or shops. The role is hugely rewarding but often challenging, so we make sure we’re always there for each other when times get hard.

You will be a vital part of setting up this new home; the home will accommodate up to 2 young people aged 10 – 16 upon admission. This home will cater to young people with mild to moderate learning difficulties and autism spectrum disorders (ASD).
Our young people would have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and a range of developmental traumas. As a registered manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home and the development of the established team.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Therapeutic Practitioner
In this new role you will offer therapeutic support our Fostering service. Your primary task will be to support our foster carers and team around the child with oversight from the Clinical Psychologist, and the Service/Team Manager.
This will include working with foster carers and colleagues from a therapeutically informed base to support their understanding of the impact of trauma and adversity. You will work with the team to agree and implement strategies to support children and young people to reach their full potential.
As a Fostering Therapeutic Practitioner, you will work alongside the team clinician and the management team in embedding Attachment and Trauma Informed Care (ATIC) approaches.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent, part-time Fostering Business Support Coordinator to join Five Rivers Child Care, a leading Social Enterprise which has been “turning children’s lives around” since 1989.
The West Country Business Support Team work cohesively across the service. We are a friendly, hardworking team who enjoy working alongside our social workers and fostering support worker colleagues. You will be based either the Exeter or Truro office.

• Maintaining the CHARMS database to ensure compliance
• Answering telephone and email enquiries
• Processing regular checks for present foster carers and children
• Processing financial claims, liaising with the finance team
• Organising room bookings
• Attending monthly meetings and Taking minutes
• Ensuring Five Rivers policies and procedures are adhered to
• Any additional administrative task or projects maybe required by the business or fostering managers.
• To promote inclusion and participation of children and young people in the development of the foster service.
Hours
This is a part-time role covering 29 hours per week

Independent Form F Assessors - Bromsgrove
Five Rivers Child Care is a leading Social Enterprise that turns children’s lives around. Our Fostering service is committed to providing caring families to children who need them the most.
Due to expansion, we seek to appoint Independent Form F Assessors to support our Fostering teams across the UK.
We are particularly interested in those who can cover the Staffordshire, Birmingham, Worcester and Rugby area.
You will support potential foster carers through the form f process and panel process, undertake competence-based Form F Assessments, work closely with other members of the Five Rivers Child Care Family Placement Service, return the completed Form F Assessment report and all supporting documentation to the company, complete the Form F Assessment within a timescale of between 12 -14 weeks and be submitted to Five Rivers Child Care for quality assurance process.
Complete all amendments/follow ups requests once the Form F Assessment has been vetted by Five Rivers Child Care and before presentation to one of Five Rivers Child Care Fostering service panels and present the family to the fostering service panel once all documentation has been signed off.
You will be paid up to £2,500 per assessment.
Essential Criteria:
• Recognised professional social work qualification. (DipSW or equivalent)
• Must have HCPC registration
• Knowledge of childcare legislation and other relevant legislation/initiatives about foster care.
• Experience working within a fostering service
• Experience in undertaking competence-based Form F Assessments
• Willingness to work on a flexible basis, e.g. evenings and weekends.
• Ability to produce high-quality written assessment reports.
• Confidence and proficiency in presenting to Fostering Panels.
• Clean driving license and own transport.

We are recruiting a Play/Art Therapist for our Five Rivers Residential service in Orpington, Kent.
Your role will involve delivery of play therapy techniques to children, predominantly primary school age, who are struggling with their mental health and emotional wellbeing. We are looking for applicants who have a proven track record of delivering play therapy with vulnerable children and who can provide support and advice to managers and support workers to help integrate attachment and trauma-informed play approaches into their practice. The play therapist will report to the residential clinician or the Senior Principal Psychologist.
The Residential team is enthusiastic and welcoming, and they work hard to embrace psychological thinking and reflective practice approaches in their work with children and young people. The Play Therapist’s input is highly valued, and their opinions and formulations are actively integrated into practice.
There is scope for evolving and expanding play therapy within the team and we are proud to have a dynamic and creative approach to implementing meaningful change within our service.
Hours:
This role a on a part time basis covering 11 hours per week.
Role requirements:
A qualification in Play Therapy or Arts Therapy (We require at least a Level 5 qualification or above).
• Current membership of an appropriate professional body (BACP, BAPT, BAAT, etc.).
• Master’s degree from a BAPT accredited course in Play Therapy
Or
• Post graduate and/or MA/MSc in Play Therapy from another provider.
• A minimum of one year’s post qualification experience
• Essential: must have experience relating to working with children and young people who have experienced trauma and neglect

You will be part of our Executive Support team, where your work will be varied, valued and offering support to our Senior Leadership teams across all services.

You will be outgoing, friendly and dynamic with an enthusiasm to develop both yourself and the role profile. As front of house you will be able to create a great first impression of our organisation to any visitors and in supporting the Executive Assistant you will be an integral member of the administration team providing varied administrative assistance to our Senior Leadership teams.
Previous experience in administrative roles would be an advantage but not essential.
