We are looking for Residential Support Workers to come and join our family at our home located 3 miles from the centre of Ilford Town.  The home provides responsive and individual care in situations of crisis or emergency for up to 4 children and young people of either gender between the ages of 6 – 17.

We are looking for positive people who are resilient and can work with highly traumatised children who has suffered neglect and abuse. You will be required to be consistent and provide emotionally support and guide our children unconditionally even when faced with some high-level challenging behaviour. This might include physical and verbal aggression. You will need to demonstrate resilience to be able to work through tough times with optimism and be able to manage your own feelings though periods that will test you as an individual.

We are looking for people who are strong minded, capable, have a secure understanding of what makes a positive corporate parent. You will need to be open minded and not afraid to get involved in every aspect of caring for the children. You will need to be easy going, relaxed, have a “Can do” attitude and a good sense of humour.  Our children deserve people around them to be calm and positive at all times. We need someone who can learn quickly, is willing to go above and beyond, is fun and outgoing but above all is warm, loving, caring and understanding.

We are looking for someone who has experience of working in a residential setting, an NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care is desirable but not necessary as we will support you in gaining this qualification after completing your 12 weeks induction book.

We will train you to work within our Trauma Informed Model which works in an integrated way with young people including Clinical Care and Education. You will be support by the manager and the team and will have asceses to clinical consultation as a team.

Salary: £19,773 - £23,000 (depending on experience) plus £36 per sleep in

Working hours: 39 average per week following a rota pattern
