Situated in the heart of Somerset countryside in a rural village on the outskirts of Taunton sits The Orchard, a Therapeutic Residential Children’s home. It offers a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment for the young people, one that is full of love, positivity, motivational and above all fun, for up to three young people, mixed gender from the ages of 8 - 16 who display challenging behaviours because of attachment issues, neglect and/or abuse.

Our Residential Childcare workers are committed, driven, supportive and passionate about what they do to ensure the young people thrive and develop in a home environment. You will walk in a small family friendly team who have developed bonds and relationships not only with our children but also with each other. 

We are looking for Support Workers who have their NVQ Lvel 3 in Children and Young People or Level 3 in Health and Social Care, you will also be be required to have a Full UK driving License

The position is full time (39 hours a week) where you will be expected to have a flexible and understanding that we are open all year round, you will be expected to go on holiday with the children and work over Christmas to make their memories special

Salary: £17,000 - £20,200 (depending on experience) plus £36 per sleep in
