Five Rivers Child Care place the child at the centre of our practice through bespoke integrated care planning facilitated by our team of specialist practitioners. All of whom are committed to improving outcomes for looked after children.

We are recruiting the following position: Children`s Home Registered Manager - Ilford

The successful candidate will be expected to manage the service, in line with legislative requirements of a Registered Manager (NMS, Ofsted etc) and Five Rivers polices and procedures. As the registered manager in direct management of the emergency service you must ensure all aspects of the homes functioning attains excellent outcomes as indicated by all quality assurance systems (Ofsted, regulation 33 etc)

You will be an exceptional manager who can guide and lead the team and therefore be competent and demonstrate a high level of delivery in care practice. You will provide clear direction to the team to ensure focused delivery of care in the home to ensure that goals of each emergency placement are attained.

Skills and Experience:

5+ years’ experience of working with children with challenging and emotional behaviour in a residential care setting.
Have a minimum of 2 years managerial experience in a residential setting, including staff supervision and development.
Excellent and up to date working and theoretical of child and adolescent development and the effects of trauma, loss, abuse and deprivation
Experience of managing a team of residential support workers and helping improve working practices
Budget management
Report writing, recording and communication skill of a high standard
Effective in building and maintaining effective working relationships with all levels of personal

Education:

Applicants must have a minimum residential care qualification QCF Level 5 or Managers NVQ Level 4 Management qualification.
We will also consider outstanding applicants who can demonstrate an aptitude in management.
