Five Rivers Child Care is one of the UK’s most experienced practitioners in turning around the lives of vulnerable children. Our Assessment & Therapy team has developed out of the need to ‘transform the lives of children and young people’, focusing on those who were accessing our specialist integrated education, residential and fostering services. Regionally based, we have developed a network of experienced, qualified professionals from psychology, psychotherapy, counselling and psychiatry backgrounds

We believe that to attain outstanding outcomes for children and young people who maybe experiencing psychological distress, there is a core need, to harness the application of psychological knowledge to assist in transforming children and young people’s lives. Five Rivers Child Care offers a comprehensive range of Assessment and Therapy services that enable each looked-after-child to have access to resources appropriate to their need

As part of our ongoing expansion of this service and to meet the growing need for mental health interventions for looked-after children, we are keen to hear from trained Educational Psychologists within the Wiltshire area who have experience in child-centred, evidence -based psychological support for schools.

As an Assessment and Therapy service affiliate you will work in a variety of school settings including emergency, independence and outreach, providing detailed psychological assessments and reports for children and families referred via the affiliate network.
