We are looking for a Business Support Assistant to join our team in our headquarters in Salisbury

Essential Criteria:

  • Essential – Minimum 5 GCSE’s or equivalent at Grade C or above including Maths and English
  • Desirable - University Degree
  • Essential (without a degree) – minimum NVQ3/QCF3 in a relevant business or administrative area
  • High standard of written and spoken English
  • Commitment to accuracy and attention to details
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including use of telephone
  • IT literate and proficient in Word and Excel
  • Good ability to interpret and understand a wide variety of information presented as reports, notices, spreadsheets and tables and to create accurate briefings for use by senior personnel

Job Description:

  • To distribute tender notices as directed to Heads of Service/Referrals personnel
  • To maintain a record of tender notifications and their progress using the “Current Opportunities” spreadsheet
  • To distribute the £Current opportunities” spreadsheet to the Senior Management Team (SMT)
  • To take and distribute the minutes of the Bid/No Bid meeting and to provide all necessary documentation as advised
  • To track allocated actions and responses and to support Heads of Service and the Project manager of any tender process
  • To monitor identified websites for tender notices as directed
  • To assist in identifying future tender opportunities
  • To maintain an accurate and up to date spreadsheet of portals with which Five Rivers Child Care is registered
  • To maintain a central database of all contracts and agreements with local authorities across all services
  • To carry out research as directed to support Five Rivers Child care in maintaining up to date policies, procedures and practices and the development of new business streams
  • To maintain a library of successful bids or parts of bids which could be used in future tenders
  • To proofread bids as directed
